The Dalai Lama Trust is delighted to announce the recipients of The Dalai Lama Trust Postgraduate Scholarship for 2024. The Postgraduate scholarships are only awarded to students who have received The Dalai Lama Trust Undergraduate scholarship and want to continue their education. The Dalai Lama Trust Scholarship was created to assist students facing financial adversity in their higher studies. We are so glad to be able to support the recipients through this journey.
The funds for this scholarship are derived mainly from public offerings, so we would like to thank all those who have made donations to the Dalai Lama Trust. These donations allow us to carry out several charitable projects, including the Dalai Lama Trust Scholarship, which is offered annually to 100 undergraduate students and 5 postgraduate students. While the Trust is typically supposed to award the postgraduate scholarship to 5 recipients each year, we are so pleased to announce that the selection committee has chosen 18 students to receive the scholarship this year.
Once the application deadline closes, we collate the data, storing it in our scholarship repository which allows us to organize the data and document several salient data points. Duplicate and ineligible applications are removed. The data is then analyzed and verified and all the information is presented to the selection committee which makes the final selection of applicants.
Selected applicants who would like to withdraw their scholarship because they have received scholarships from other organizations or for any other reasons are requested to inform the scholarship desk at the earliest by writing to us at scholarship@dalailama.com.
Please find below the list of selected applicants.
