This particular objective encompasses several factors -emergency medical care, grants to hospitals, old peoples homes, opportunities for disabled children, emergency relief, and medical aid for the poor, destitute and homeless. At the Dalai Lama Trust we believe that health is one of the most important gifts we can give.

Disease, illness and injury are some of the easiest ways of witnessing suffering. We are committed to providing any medical care needed so that these individuals may heal and carry on following their aspirations. Several Tibetan refugees arrive with serious illnesses and injuries and we hope that by providing medical assistance, we may lessen the trauma of adapting to a new life.
