Please join us in celebrating the auspicious occasion of His Holiness The Dalai Lama’s 86th birthday with a birthday message from His Holiness himself. In this message, His Holiness expresses his appreciation for all the love, respect and trust shown to him by his friends. He assures us that he has committed his life to serving humanity and to the protection of climate conditions. His Holiness explains that as a refugee settled in India he has taken advantage of India’s freedom and religious harmony. He assures us that for the rest of his life, he is fully committed to this work. 

His Holiness explains that he very much appreciates the Indian values of secular ethics which are not dependent on religion such as honesty, compassion and non-violence. His Holiness reminds us that he himself has committed to compassion and non-violence until his death and urges us to keep these qualities in mind for the rest of our lives too. 

We are humbled to be in service of His Holiness’ wishes and to continue this work for as long as possible. The Dalai Lama Trust would like to express immense gratitude to His Holiness for his unparalleled wisdom and guidance over the years and we pray that His Holiness may have a very long life.
