The Dalai Lama Trust is delighted to announce the availability of a substantial collection of books in the Tibetan language, some offered for sale and others for free distribution to the public.

As part of its ongoing efforts to preserve and share His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s precious words and teachings, the Trust has undertaken and supported a wide range of initiatives to compile, translate, edit and publish His Holiness’ teachings in Tibetan. These efforts have been carried out both through the Trust’s own projects and in collaboration with, or through funding provided to, institutions and individuals engaged in this important work.

Featured in this special collection is a series of 41 volumes of His Holiness’ books translated into Tibetan by the Tibetan Translation and Research Institute, a longstanding project supported by the Dalai Lama Trust. Titles in this series include The Middle Way: Faith Grounded in Reason, Practising Wisdom, The Path to Enlightenment, Many Ways to Nirvana, and numerous others.

Another notable series is the Collected Works of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, compiled and edited in Tibetan by the Teaching Compilation and Editing Section of the Dalai Lama Trust. This collection presents a carefully curated selection of His Holiness’s teachings and writings, intended to make them more readily accessible to Tibetan readers.

One of the Dalai Lama Trust’s key objectives is to preserve and disseminate His Holiness’ words as widely as possible, so that his wisdom and teachings may continue to reach and benefit as many people as possible. An important part of this work is ensuring that His Holiness’ extensive body of teachings is preserved and made available in the Tibetan language. To this end, the Trust has funded, collaborated on and undertaken numerous projects devoted to translating, compiling, editing and preserving the extraordinary body of teachings and works that His Holiness has produced over the past seven decades.

This has been, and continues to be, an extensive endeavour, made possible through the dedication of many scholars, translators, editors, publishers, institutions and collaborators. The Trust is therefore especially pleased to bring together and make available this substantial collection of Tibetan-language works.

The collection currently includes approximately 70 books available for free distribution and a further 68 titles available for sale. All books in the collection are in Tibetan and are available at the Dalai Lama Library and Archive.
